a guide to help with practice. You must learn proper technique from your instructor
in order to understand these instructions. Don't expect to be able to test if
you have NOT put in the time or if you have NOT received permission to test from
Master Keppers, Dr. Taylor and Mr. Mertes. White

Basic
Promotional Test Requirements (Minimum Time In Grade Is Nine
Months)
1)
Students must demonstrate all previous belt training requirements/criteria/
curriculum, along with any and all training techniques (physical/cognitive)
discussed and taught within our dojang or during other training classes which
are pertinent to advancement at this martial arts belt rank. 2) WTF
Pattern - Tae Geuk IL, Yi, Sahm, Sarh, Oh, Yuhk, Chil and Pil Jang Hyungs
and know the meanings and number of steps. 3)
ITF Pattern - Chang Hon Tuls/Forms: All Chang Hon Forms up through Joong
Moo. The meaning and number of steps in each of these forms. Grandmaster,
Dr. Eugene A. Humesky Ph.D. has an extensive Korean martial arts website.
Since he is officially our Tae Kwon Do Grandmaster, ALL students should be
reviewing this site
and retaining the information as it is listed. All of our International TaeKwon
Do Federation Tuls (patterns) and World TaeKwon Do Tae Geuk Hyungs are
executed with the "old school" traditional Korean martial arts standards.
All ITF Tuls/WTF Hyungs are taken from the Universal TaeKwon Do Brotherhood
website. 4) All WTF / ITF White Belt rank through First Gup/Red
Belt rank must be completed successfully. Students
must be able to successfully complete their highest ranking forms to their
lowest ranking forms and than again in reverse order. Students must also
complete the WTF and ITF Forms, doing each in all four directions

a punch). 6).
Kuk Sool Hap Ki Do Techniques: Demonstrate all self defense techniques up
and through Sohn Mohk Sool. All demonstrated with the highest proficency and
speed. 7)
Juhl Bong Hyung - Chuk IL, Yi, and Chuk Sahm Hyung. 8)
Bong Hyungs - Juhng Bong, Bong IL, Bong Chi, Bong Sool, Bong Yuhn Hyungs. 9.)
Geum Hyungs: IL Geum, Yi Geum, Sahm Geum, Sarh Geum, Oh & Yuk Geum
Hyungs (Sword Forms). Must know the history of these forms. Yang Sah Geum
Hyungs.

Self defense against 15 knife attack techniques. 11)
Must attend late classes/advanced classes for *nine/twelve months prior to
possible First Dahn Black Belt testing. *Minimum time in grade is nine
(9/12) months however testing for First Dahn is at Master De Witt's discretion. 12)
Attendance and completion of Friday night fitness/pre-test prior to Saturday
promotional test. This martial arts training workout consists of approximately
eight to nine hours of Chung Do Kwan Tae Kwon Do, Hap Ki Do, Bong twirling,
stretching
and Hyung training. Juhl Bong Hyungs demonstrations, multiple physical working
out, both in the dojang and outdoors, along with completion of at least five
times of the listed below basics. *Basic Physical Requirement
Criteria for this rank. 13.) Basic Physical Requirement Criteria:
Jumping Jacks - 300 Push Ups - 12 sets of 40 Crunches/Sit Ups - 12 sets
of 50 Mountain Climbers - 12 sets of 40 Leg Raises - 12 sets of 50
Burpees - 12 sets of 25 Jogging 5 to 10 miles throughout training.
** These are the very basic physical activities for a student at this rank
to accomplish in order to be considered for testing to the Red Belt rank.
A student at this rank must complete at least five times this criteria on
the Friday night workout session just prior to the Saturday Promotional test.

Time in Grade/Rank
is approximately nine to twelve months. Students have a very large Chung
Do Kwan, Hap Ki Do and Weapons curriculum to absolutely know and demonstrate.
A physical and oral pre-test is also completed prior to any approval for
First Red promotional testing to First Dahn Black Belt. 16)
Write a fifteen page Black Belt paper. Sr. Master De Witt will send each Black
Belt candidate these requirements. 17)
Promotional testing form must be completed and handed in with testing fee
two weeks prior to promotional test. 18) Any other martial arts information
which is given during classes. 19)
Each student at this rank must obtain permission directly from Master Karmon
Keppers, Mr. Randy Mertes and Dr. Renee Taylor, in order
to test for any higher rank within De Witt Korean Martial Arts.
